The area’s best foot massage in town sits in our sessions!

Last night, I once again worked on a gentleman who swore up and down that his feet were ultra ticklish and that he has always avoided foot massages.  The thing is, I TOO AM SUPER TICKLISH so, I learned early on to NOT tickle clients!  There IS a technique for this.  However, most massage therapists are clueless and just do their normal foot massage.

Why Most Places Do a Short Foot Massage:  Most places do a short foot massage because many therapists will attempt to work on the feet while standing.  I sit down and when I get massages, I insist on the therapist sitting down when working on my feet.  That way, they are not worrying about their back and straining and I get a full foot massage.  They are positioned right at the proper level for working on my feet.

Our Foot Massage:  We have been in business over 10 years, and years ago, I tried taking the foot massage out of the session.  I immediately saw that clients no longer were saying that they felt like a brand new person.  So, not only did we put it back in, it was reconfigured to include a custom, therapeutic foot cream, elements of reflexology and deep tissue, hot stone therapy and soothing hand work, all geared towards opening up the energy centers in the body, reducing stress, and targeting the whole body.  You see, there are nerve endings in the feet from all the organs in the body so, a foot massage affects a person all over.

After I worked on my client last night, he was laughing and saying that he felt great and was surprised he was able to easily tolerate me working on his feet!  Now, if only most clients could simply trust me, they would be pleasantly surprised…
