It can sometimes be difficult to find a good prenatal couple massage in our area. We are one of the few places that offers it with a licensed massage therapist who is also certified in prenatal massage. So, take the best possible prenatal massage and marry it with the best couple massage in the Cleveland area and you have an awesome session that will leave you both feeling brand new!
Foundation of Training
I attended the National Institute of Massotherapy back when therapists were required to have almost 2 years of training. New therapists coming out now only have about 12 months of training. I am licensed through the Medical Board of Ohio. Because my last pregnancy, many years ago, was twins, and because I endured a lot of pain and discomfort in my last trimester, it became important to offer prenatal massage in my practice. I desire to help my clients to experience stress relief and effective pain relief so that they can enjoy this wonderful time in their lives.
What You Get Other Places
How do I know what you will get at other places? Because I listen to clients who complain about other places they have been to. I have also interviewed a ton of other therapists over the last 6 years, and they have told me that they are required to do prenatal massages at the spas where they have worked. Most times, they do not WANT to work on pregnant women but they have no choice.
At other places, you will most likely get a light massage that is not very therapeutic. Why? Because therapists who are not specially trained in prenatal are nervous about working on prenatal clients. When a therapist is not comfortable working on a client they will use light pressure.
What You Get with Us
A REAL massage. We will give you the super pampering you need plus real deep tissue work and SOOTHING hot stone therapy in specific areas where you need it most. Add to that the ridiculously relaxing foot massage and our Moms emerge saying they feel like a brand new person!
What Your Partner Gets
Your husband, boyfriend, mother, friend, sister, etc. will get an awesome massage that includes deep tissue, hot stone therapy, relaxation massage, and a foot massage. Your session will be customized for you. If you need more deep tissue you will get that. If you need a longer foot massage just request it. If you need a lot of work in particular areas just let your therapist know.
*We no longer offer a 60 minute session because it results in a rushed session. I am very protective of my prenatal clients and want them to truly relax and enjoy their session.
Our Room Setup
When it comes to couple massage around town, whether you are in the same room depends on where you go. Places like Massage Envy and Hand and Stone have you in a separate room. We used to have our couples in the same room until the pandemic hit. After that, we put clients in adjacent rooms with the door open SO CLIENTS ARE STILL RIGHT NEAR EACH OTHER and can even talk to each other during their session. Couples usually do a toast before their session and then they get worked on in the adjacent areas.
So basically, if you get off your massage table and take THREE STEPS you would see the other person. That is how close you are to each other. We keep the middle door open and you are able to still talk to each other.
**Our previous couples room is now a female client sanctuary (the blue room). I spent over $4,000 during the pandemic to update that room to make it the perfect oasis for our female clients and I will never change it back so that means our couple tables will always remain in adjacent rooms.
