We are now a female-centered massage therapy practice. Sessions are still available but not at the same location.
We made the decision to close our Beachwood location down. We had that office since January 2011. Due to this ever-changing economy, the uncertain impact of this current administration on so many people’s incomes, and the constant issues we have experienced with our building being under two new management companies, we decided to pivot the business slightly. Our business is still open – we are just doing things differently.
We now offer singles sessions for our female clients, couple massage training and training for other licensed massage therapists.
TOO MANY CHANGES
A year before the pandemic hit, our building’s owner passed away. That owner was a wonderful landlord. After that, our building and the twin building next door were sold. We ended up with a management company who did not fix things right away. We have endured the elevator constantly being out; the air conditioning being down for several weeks during the worst part of the summer, and many days where the heat in our office is completely off (with temperatures under 30 degrees outside). This summer, we endured the air conditioning being out for 8 weeks; then it got fixed and it went out again. During those times we could not see clients or do trainings.
I have created a wonderful space about 3 minutes from our original office. It is on the main street in a quiet and safe area. I created a warm, comforting, calming, and healing space for our clients and students.
So far, we have had 3 couples, a lady Priest, 2 of our previous nurse clients, a retired physician and two other ladies all come here, and they LOVED what we have created. Also, interestingly – clients keep telling me that other great massage therapists are also working from their home. I only knew of two in our area, but I am realizing that I was not alone in the decision that I made.
WHO ARE OUR CLIENTS
Our clients the last few years have evolved into many nurses, a few doctors, business owners, a female Priest, a Pastor and other clergy (I suppose our business name attracts them), social workers and mental health therapists. We became a female-centered practice a few years ago. We currently work on female clients, and I still conduct the couple massage trainings. All clients who have come to our new location have loved it and felt quite comfortable.
